Il premio Créateur de l’Année du Salon du Meuble de Paris è nato nel 1983 in sostituzione del Prix René Gabriel del 1950 per il Salon des Arts Ménagers; è stato assegnato ogni anno ad architetti e designer contemporanei fino al 2009, anno ci cessazione della manifestazione fieristica.

The Créateur de l’Année award at the Salon du Meuble de Paris was established in 1983, replacing the Prix René Gabriel (1950) at the Salon des Arts Ménagers. It was awarded annually to contemporary architects and designers until 2009 when the fair was discontinued.
