Lo stampaggio di una scocca così complessa comporta un delicato frazionamento dei flussi di materiale all’interno dello stampo, che è stato possibile gestire grazie alla straordinaria abilità tecnica del produttore. Il nome del prodotto omaggia un grande inventore, Buckminster Fuller, architetto e designer che nel 1954 brevettò la cupola geodetica, una struttura autoportante di estrema leggerezza costruita sull’estensione di solidi con facce triangolari come il tetraedro e l'ottaedro.

Moulding such a complex shell requires a delicate segmentation of material flows within the mould, a challenge mastered thanks to the exceptional technical expertise of the manufacturer. The product’s name pays tribute to Buckminster Fuller, the renowned architect and designer who, in 1954, patented the geodesic dome—a self-supporting, ultra-lightweight structure based on the extension of triangular-faced solids such as the tetrahedron and octahedron.
