Il German Design Award è il premio tedesco per il design ufficiale patrocinato dal Ministero tedesco dell’economia e della tecnologia. Il premio è stato assegnato per la prima volta con il nome di “Federal Award for Good Design” nel 1969 e successivamente ogni due anni. Dal 2006, è chiamato German Design Award e premia prodotti e progetti innovativi, i loro produttori e designer a livello internazionale.

 

The German Design Award is the official German design prize sponsored by the German Ministry of Economics and Technology. The award was first presented under the name “Federal Award for Good Design” in 1969 and subsequently every two years. Since 2006, it has been known as the German Design Award, recognizing innovative products and projects, as well as their producers and designers, on an international level.
