Fondato a Chicago nel 1950 da Eero Saarinen insieme a Charles e Ray Eames, e tuttora organizzato dal Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design, il premio celebra ogni anno i migliori designer e le aziende manifatturiere che si distinguono per l’eccellenza nel design.
