Una collettiva organizzata dalla società creativa Action Giromari presso il Giardino della Triennale di Milano durante il Fuorisalone 2017. 24 designers invitati a raccogliere una sfida: progettare una birdhouse, con la libertà di esprimerne la propria visione attraverso funzioni, forme, colori e finiture. Il volo è il simbolo di libertà per antonomasia, tuttavia anche gli esseri viventi più liberi in natura sviluppano l’esigenza di contare su un luogo che doni loro protezione e riparo. La dimora per volatili, di conseguenza, può essere considerata non come una gabbia ma come un posto sicuro dove proteggersi. Gli uccelli si ingegnano per costruire la propria casa con tutto ciò che la natura offre loro con il solo aiuto del becco e delle proprie zampe: un’abilità che li rende, è il caso di dirlo, “architetti naturali”. Il progetto si ispira proprio a questo immaginario, con l’obiettivo di mostrare come in perfetta sinergia tra creatività e abilità tecniche ogni idea possa trasformarsi in realtà.
A collective organized by the creative company Action Giromari at the Garden of the Triennale di Milano during the Fuorisalone 2017. 24 designers were invited to take up the challenge to design a birdhouse, with the freedom to express their own vision through functions, shapes, colors, and finishes. Flight is the symbol of freedom par excellence, however, even the freest living beings in nature develop the need to rely on a place that gives them protection and shelter. The dwelling for birds, therefore, can be considered not as a cage but as a safe place to seek refuge. Birds ingeniously build their homes with everything nature offers them with only the help of their beaks and their own feet: a skill that makes them, so to speak, “natural architects”. The project is inspired by this imagery, with the aim of showing how in perfect synergy between creativity and technical skills, every idea can become reality.
